Welcome to PintPicker, a taste comparison system and database of UK real ales built by and for real ale lovers. We have no industry affiliations and are entirely independent of the brewing trade.

At the heart of the PintPicker system are six flavour attributes that allow us to compare the overall tastes of different beers. The system, although simple and very easy to use, has a powerful “difference analysis” algorithm that returns a list of beers in order of their taste proximity to each other. So, for example, if you have a favourite beer, PintPicker can tell you which other beers it knows about are very similar to yours in flavour. Download and print out the tasting cards and tasting notes to get started. Register to upload your reviews and compare real ales.
